A pályamű leírása:

The pedestrian bridge, built between 2013 and 2015, is located in the central area of Arad and crosses the Mures River upstream of the bridge "Decebal" and next to the pedestrian pontoon bridge upstream of it. On the left bank, opposite the bridge site, is the recreation area "Swimming-pool Neptune", developed on an area of approx. 20 ha, and on the right bank the proposed bridge links to the main promenade on the river Mures, which is directly connected with Eminescu Park, and approx. 200 m distance from the downtown area, in close proximity with Arad City Hall. Before the execution of the pedestrian bridge, access into the "Swimming-pool Neptune" was done only by the road bridge "Decebal" and the two floating pontoon bridges placed in the riverbed, opposite the “Vointa Association” and the "Sports Hall". Improving access on the left bank became necessary after 1968, when the right bank swimming-pool area was closed and repurposed, and “Neptune Swimming-pool” was built on the left bank. For this purpose two floating bridges were installed, originally made of boats, then metal pontoons, but which could only provide limited and insecure access, especially during the high water level periods of the Mures River. The proposed bridge has a total useful width of 4.00 m, of which 2.00 m to 1.60 m respectively for pedestrian traffic and for cyclists, with a maximum permissible total load of 7.50 kN/m2. Also, the bridge can support car traffic intended for emergencies, and access is allowed to vehicles having a maximum weight of 5.00 tones. The total width is 4.84 m, and the total length is approx. 185.00 m, with bearings openings of 9.27m (left bank) + 33.00m + 85.00m + 33.00m + 18.94m (right bank). The structure of the bridge is made of steel elements, and is cable-stayed type with a main beam and two pylons, harp-shaped and inclined. Elevations are made of reinforced concrete and the foundations are made of reinforced concrete bored piles. The whole work was done with Arad City Hall funds and exclusively with local workforce, which is a merit to be appreciated.
